  • Dental root canal treatment or endodontics is a branch of dentistry concerning the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the dental pulp (nerves and blood vessels) and tissues surrounding the root of a tooth. The dental root canal treatment procedure often helps to preserve teeth that otherwise need to be extracted.

The aim of dental root canal treatment is to clean the dental root canal system from microbes, treat the inflammation site in the jaw and thereafter close the root canal as tightly as possible in order to avoid the recurrence of inflammation.

  • Prosthetics help to achieve aesthetic and long-lasting stable results. Prosthetics help to improve the colour and shape of teeth, correct defects in dental crowns, replace a single missing tooth or an entire row of teeth.

  • In short, an implant is an artificial dental root made of titanium that will replace the patient’s removed or soon-to-be removed tooth or teeth. Implants can be placed once the patient has been prepared.

Implantation is a surgical procedure involving one or several steps, the end result being a new tooth or new teeth.

Sometimes, patients have a bone tissue deficit, a wide paranasal sinus or a lack of gum tissue with sufficient quality – in most cases, it is possible to solve these problems using various restorative surgical procedures.

There are some contraindications to placing the implants. These will be defined after diagnostics and consultation with the doctor.

  • A teeth whitening procedure using a special gel and lamp. Before the procedure, the dentist assesses the condition of your oral cavity and makes preparations for the teeth whitening procedure, if necessary. Teeth whitening is performed with 6% hydrogen peroxide, which is activated using the special lamp. The gel contains calcium ions that help strengthen the teeth and decrease their sensitivity. PLEASE NOTE! It is not possible to whiten dental crowns and dental fillings.

The procedure lasts for one and a half to two hours. The colour of the teeth is assessed and recorded before whitening. The oral mucosa and gums will be isolated. A protective light curing gel is applied to the gums. A BH booster is applied to the teeth before each whitening session. Whitening gel is applied to the teeth in a 1-2-mm layer. The gel will be activated with the UV lamp. One session lasts 15 minutes. The procedure is repeated 3-4 times.

The tone of the teeth will be assessed after the procedure. A dental hygienist provides you recommendations on how to preserve the achieved result. It is important to know that smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee, tea and white or red wine and consuming colourful foods and drinks should be avoided for 48 hours after the teeth whitening procedure; it is also not recommended to use charcoal toothpaste. The achieved result lasts for 1-5 years depending on the patient’s lifestyle and habits.

  • Soda blasting helps keep the mouth clean. Soda blasting (also called pearl wash or air-flow cleaning) refers to the cleaning of the teeth with water, air or special soda powder.

When should soda blasting be performed?
    • When teeth have evenly become darker or yellower.
    • When dental plaque or tartar have formed on teeth.
    • When you wear dental brackets or some other orthodontic device which make brushing the teeth complicated.

While soda blasting is completely safe for the teeth, it is recommended to perform it 1-3 times per year in order to preserve the result.
